Teaching owners and handlers dog sports in a fun and relaxed environment.
A little about me
I’ve been happily married for 20yrs and still counting. I have 2 nearly grown-up children. I’ve been teaching agility at Therapaws as my hobby since 1999 and used to compete all over the country before that when I was a member of a competitive agility club.
I set up Waffy’s Wagtails in March 2023 so that I could expand my love for dogs even further (you can never stop learning). Over the years I have taught a wide variety of both dogs and handlers!
I use positive reward-based training and handling methods and encourage learning through play wherever possible. I also assist with recalls, waits/stays, focus and other basic training.
Rescue dogs are always welcome and I can offer extra behaviour assistance to help to build confidence.
Dogs can start agility from 10 months and hoopers from 6 months onwards… owners can be any age and ability!
My classes are fun for you and your dog, all my current customers support each other during classes and I like to make sure it is a pressure-free environment! The fun agility/hoopers classes run all year round no matter the weather, at Therapaws.
One-to-one or two 2 one lessons are also available.
I have been teaching owners/handlers agility for the last 25yrs+ and I am now available for dog walking, check-in visits, dog sitting and taxi service too! I’ve had dogs all of my life and I also have many years of experience in the equine industry. I have my BHS Assistance Instructor certificate, Canine Hooper Instructor Accreditation, 5 canine diplomas and am an Agility Club Approved Instructor.
